About

Hi everyone, My name is Kristina Tidaback and I am the owner of Kampus Kustoms!

My passion for Kampus Kustoms started the Fall semester of my senior year (August-December of 2019) when I made a Kentucky halter top for a game day (go cats!!). I went to school to study fashion and I have always loved wearing fun & unique pieces that would make people stop me and ask where I got them. All Saturday long, girls kept coming up to me asking where I got my shirt from and I simply responded “I made it”. I hustled the rest of that semester: thrifting Kentucky gear, customizing them in my room any free moment I got, and held a pop-up shop selling my custom clothes.

So I graduated, started my first big girl job, was laid off due to the pandemic & decided to expand Kampus Kustoms and give it the true shot it deserved. I let myself mope for a day then turned lemons into lemonade. My mentality has and always will be that if you work hard for what you want, the only thing that will get in your way is you. Starting a small business in the middle of a global pandemic might sound crazy to some, but regardless I accepted the challenge in front of me. It was not easy then (my 400 followers at the time) and even though I have grown, I still face many challenges. Over the past few months, I along with many others, have learned and understood the importance of supporting small businesses and allowing dreams for a normal person like me to grow & flourish.

It’s funny to me while many of you I have not physically met, I consider you all my internet friends. You share my posts, send me kind words, like my pictures, blow up my account on drop days and overall support my dream of being an entrepreneur.

So, if you made it this far…thank you for taking the time to get to know me better. I want to thank all of you for supporting my business and watching it grow along with me.

xoxo,

Kristina
